The Avon Foundation is an accredited 501(c)(3) public charity in the US that was founded in 1955 to improve the lives of women and their families. Now past the half century mark, the Avon Foundation brings this mission to life through two key areas of focus: the fight against breast cancer and support for women's empowerment, including economic advancement and the issue of domestic violence, and more than 300 grants area awarded each year for these important causes. The flagship programs are the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which works to advance access to care and finding a cure; and Speak Out Against Domestic Violence, focused on ending the cycle of domestic violence, with a special focus on children. Avon is proudly the largest corporate supporter of the breast cancer cause, with programs in 50 countries, and the commitment to domestic violence is growing.

Avon and the Avon Foundation also respond quickly to national and international emergencies, raising funds and providing support for women and famiiles affected by incidents such as the attacks of September 11, 2001; the tsunami in Southeast Asia; Hurricanes Rita and Katrina; and the military conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.

My favorite Avon product, besides skin care, is the nail polish.  So many beautiful colors, and I have them all.  The polish drys in less than one minute, and if you use the top coat the polish stays put for a week to 10 days.

I put a fresh coat of polish on over the others every night.  That way it stays fresh and doesn't peel and it builds up strong layers, so my nails don't break.  This is the first product I have found that actually lets me grow long, beautiful nails.  They finally get so long I have to remove the polish, trim them back and repaint.  If not I can't use the computer.  Try the red it is just a perfect red and goes with everything.

I am part gypsy so I always have a ring on almost every finger, a necklace, bracelet and ankle bracelet then a couple of toe rings to top it off, and the polish just sets them off.  All my jewelry is Avon, too.  I have never seen so many rings at such great prices.  I buy the necklace sets when they first come out and are previewed at a low price, I put them up for birthday and Christmas presents.  All my nieces cannot wait to open their new jewelry gifts.  I tell my favorite customers about the jewelry sales when they first come out, and I have them buying early Christmas, and Birthday, presents too.

My Grandaughter is 5 years old and she loves the polish as much as I do.  When she comes over we sit on my bed, get all the polishes out, spread them across the bed, pick out her choice of colors, and I let her paint my toenails and fingernails.  She loves it.  It is our special little routine and she says she doesn't get to do this anywhere else.  Several times she painted each nail a different color, they were too beautiful to pick just one.  All I can say is thank goodness for polish remover. lol.
